We are prepared to clean and disinfect your home or business, according to protocols set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC encourages cleaning of high-touch surfaces such as counters, tabletops, doorknobs, light switches, bathroom fixtures, toilets, phones, keyboards, tablets and tables. Other spaces mentioned in the CDC’s guidance for commercial spaces include:
- Kitchen/Food Areas
- Bathrooms
- Schools/Classrooms
- Offices
- Retail Spaces
- Water Fountains
- Shelving/Racks
- Sales Counters
- Carpets and Rugs
- Stair Handrails
- Elevator Cars
- Playground Equipment
- Fitness Equipment
Specialized Products
The CDC recommends usage of a labeled hospital-grade disinfectant with claims against similar pathogens to the coronavirus. Multiple products in the SERVPRO product line carry the EPA-approved emerging pathogens claims. While there is currently no product tested against this particular strain of the coronavirus, we are following all guidelines as provided by the CDC and local authorities.

Air Movers: An Essential Mitigation Resource
1/28/2021 (Permalink)
Air movers (also known as “floor drying fans”, “commercial blower fans” and “industrial air blowers”) are used in water damage restoration to enhance evaporation at the surface level and reduce drying time. This type of equipment introduces airflow at the surface level and replaces the highly saturated air with drier air to enhance evaporation. Your SERVPRO of Carleton/Maybee technical experts have been specifically trained on the science of drying to know how many air movers they will need and how to position them to create airflow across all wet surfaces. In some cases, when the lower portion of multiple walls are wet, involving wet drywall behind baseboards, enough air movers are positioned to create a vortex of circular airflow around the walls. Our SERVPRO technicians operate the air movers in several different positions, offering flexibility in how to direct the airflow with the best possible outcome.
Air movers are an essential tool when mitigation services are needed due to water damage or restoring flood or disaster damage. Some advantages of drying a building with the use of air movers are as follows:
- Low power draw
- High velocity, making them ideal for cooling and ventilation purposes
- Reduces water damage dry out time to carpets and floors, as well as wall cavities behind drywall
- Dries concrete and paint
- Removing fumes or gases from a workspace
All of us here at SERVPRO of Carleton/Maybee understand that having dedicated and trained technicians, utilizing professional protocols and equipment make a real difference in down time and in reducing claims and loss expenses. Our adage “Like it never even happened,” is our goal in returning damaged areas to a preloss condition and we are dedicated to both the property and lives of the customers we assist 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year. We are SERVPRO of Carleton/Maybee 734-299-7006.
SERVPRO; Not Just a Disaster
10/6/2020 (Permalink)
When most people think about SERVPRO, they think about the television advertisements they see with the big green trucks and they think about water mitigation, floods, fire clean up, and mold remediation. But did you know that we also perform normal, non emergency cleaning and maintenance services too?
One of the most common services we offer on a non disaster basis is carpet cleaning. Believe it or not, the most important step in the carpet cleaning process is actually vacuuming. Vacuuming removes up to 80% of soil, which is why this is standard procedure and our first step in the carpet cleaning process at SERVPRO of Carleton/Maybee.
When you contract SERVPRO of Carleton/Maybee to freshen up and clean your carpet, whether it be at your business or your home, know that you are receiving the absolute best in carpet cleaning service from our certified cleaning technicians!
Our carpet cleaning includes an initial vacuuming and a hot water extraction and steam clean using 220 degree (Fahrenheit) water and 300 psi. Deodorization is also standard, leaving your carpet smelling so fresh and so clean. Typically we have found that most stains are removed simply by using the steam cleaning process, but for stubborn stains, we have special SERVPRO cleaning products that will normally remove even the toughest of stains.
With the holidays right around the corner, now is the perfect time to call SERVPRO of Carleton/Maybee at (734) 299-7006 for all of your cleaning needs before your next family gathering.

Why SERVPRO?
11/9/2018 (Permalink)
Unlike a lot of nationally known companies, SERVPRO is a franchise system, which means that although roughly about 1700 of us all across the country share a name, each is individually owned and operated, truly making us a local business.
Here at SERVPRO of Carleton/Maybee, we are not just a local sign on the door; we do our very best to make a difference and help out in the community. From being an active member in the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce and local Rotary Club, sponsoring local school events, to volunteering in our local business group to put on the annual Easter Egg hunt, Spooktacular Halloween event, and multiple trunk or treats throughout several cities, we love hanging out with other members of the community!
One of the most recent things we have been really excited about starting is our fire care package bags. By partnering with several of our local fire departments, we have put together a small bag of amenities to be handed out to fire victims in ours and surrounding cities. These care packages are made with both adults and children in mind, and include essentials such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, first aid kit, teddy bear, coloring activity book and crayons, just to name a few.
When you call SERVPRO of Carleton/Maybee, even for the simplest of carpet cleanings, know that you are supporting a local business that loves giving back and trying to make a positive difference.
If you or your business is interested in donating items for our fire care packages, please call the office at (734) 299-7006.
